(your watermark was photoshopped out of it, as far as I remember..., so I had no leverage to find the author either :/)
This is just full of impact, there's no way around it. The eye's (remind me of madness in cartoons) and the angle of the shot and the portrayal of what the cards show gives it the luring bodylanguage... Sure, after a while one sees the contours, but the impact is the importance here, and that works really well. Also the anatomy (not teeth all the way, that's not human) is good, except for the fact that the meat is not continious in the darkness, as it would have, but then again, It looks better this way - it'd be way too meaty then.
